Qi2 is backward compatible, but we've run into issues with older chargers just not recharging devices consistently. You'll probably need to upgrade to a Qi2 charger. If you get a case (read our guide!), make sure it's a Pixelsnap or Qi2 case with magnets inside. Without magnets, a case will weaken the magnets in the phone, and they won't stick well to Qi2 or other magnetic accessories.
